Roma coach Luciano Spalletti says failure to qualify for the Champions League is his fault.

After their 2-2 draw with Cagliari, Spalletti said: "It is what I said some time ago. If the team fails to finish fourth then I am responsible.

"I just apologize to the fans. I think that they understand this particular situation."
