With skipper Francesco Totti fit for their clash against Palermo, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has declared they can catch Serie A leaders Inter Milan.

"We have everything in place to close the gap on Inter before we play them," said Spalletti.

"Palermo will be tough opponents. Francesco Guidolin seemed to have found the right path, but then there was a big of a slide and now they are looking to get back on track. That could be a motivation for them and we need to avoid the pitfall."

He added: "The first half of the season was very positive on all fronts - the results and the way the squad played and as my side have performed so well I don't need to ask for any signings."
