Spalletti happy with Roma's summer market work

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is delighted with their work in the summer market.

"I am satisfied with our transfer operations. We wanted two players per position and achieved our intent," said Spalletti.

"We had also considered signing a centre-forward, but that is no longer much of a problem, because when we put a main figure in attack it always makes it more difficult for us.

"Inter and Juventus made specific reinforcements, while Milan did not really need to further strengthen an already complete squad."

Roma got off to a good start in the Scudetto race with their 2-0 victory away to Palermo and will be expected to sweep Siena aside at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon.

"We must not let our guard down, as teams like Siena do not give you much space and can be even trickier than the big clubs."
