Spain go with Chelsea's Torres over Barcelona's Fabregas

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has decided to again start with Fernando Torres for tonight's final Euro2012 group match against Croatia.

The Chelsea man scored two goals in last Thursday's 4-0 win over Republic of Ireland after he was given the opportunity to start and has managed to retain his spot ahead of Barcelona ace Cesc Fabregas.

The former Arsenal captain scored Spain's goal in the 1-1 draw with Italy in their opening fixture and came off the bench to net spectacularly against Ireland but will again start as a sub.

Del Bosue has gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation with Iker Casillas in goals behind a back four of Alvaro Arbeloa, Gerard Pique, Sergio Ramos and Jordi Alba.

Sergio Busquets and Xabi Alonso will play holding midfield roles whilst David Silva, Xavi and Andres Iniesta will be more advanced, feeding lone frontman Torres.

Spain currently top Group C and need at least a point from their clash with Croatia to book a spot in the quarter-finals whilst Croatia need to win or hope that Republic of Ireland beat third-place Italy.
