Spain dominate France in Paris

Spain dominated France on Wednesday night to win their international friendly 2-0 at Stade de France in Paris.

David Villa and Sergio Ramos delivered the killer blows in the first half as La Furia Roja recorded their first away win against Les Bleus since 1968.

Spain coach Vincente del Bosque was extremely happy with his charges after a dominant performances that surely has them as World Cup favourites after 22 wins in their past 23 outings since their Euro 2008 win.

"We made the match easy for ourselves with our attitude," del Bosque told a news conference.

"We maintained a good position on the pitch and controlled the match easily even if we didn't have that many chances.

"There were some mistakes from both teams in the second half but I think we had the match under control at all times," he added.
