Spain coach Vicente del Bosque admits Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is on his radar.
The Brazilian now qualifies for Spain and is open to playing for his adopted country.
"It will be a sporting decision, but we still do not know if we can call him or not. The issue is bubbling along, let's wait and decide on Friday," said Del Bosque.
"He is doing well and his character would not be a problem. I get the impression he's a good guy. He has a great spirit."
