Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says Chelsea striker Diego Costa is genuinely injured.

Diego Costa pulled out of the squad due to a hamstring injury.

"He has a tear in the muscle and not going to play, but the guy wanted to come here to be checked by our doctors," said Del Bosque.

"For my part, he did not have to come, because there is a high confidence in the player, and it is logical not to come, but he wanted to be with us."
