Spain coach Vicente del Bosque is set to sign a new deal which will keep him in the job for the 2012 European Championships.
RFEF president Angel Maria Villar has agreed to prolong his stay at the helm but stressed the former Real Madrid boss has not put pen to paper on the new deal yet.
"I spoke with Del Bosque to renew his contract for two years and he expressed his agreement," Villar said at the Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai.
"We did not sign the renewal with Del Bosque, but his word is important.
"We have full confidence in our coach because of the results achieved so far and for the performances both in official competitions and friendlies."
