Spain have beaten England to win the commitment of 17 year-old Toulouse prospect Adam Smith.

Smith, born in Andorra to an English father and Spanish mother, is a left-sided midfielder and has accepted an invitation to join the Spain U17 squad ahead of offers to play for England and France.

The midfielder has been with Toulouse for five years after playing for the junior teams of Espanyol and Llieda.
