After introducing new midfield signings Gary O'Neil and Mohamed Shawky to Middlesbrough fans this week, manager Gareth Southgate insisted he was pleased with their work in the summer market.
Southgate spent £23 million and said: "We were patient during the window, maybe our fans thought we were a little bit slow in the transfer market but I'm pleased with the backing I've received to allow me to do what I've done."
