England U21 boss Gareth Southgate is happy for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling over his call to the senior squad.
Southgate has no issue with Roy Hodgson cherry-picking his best players.
"It will benefit Raheem more because it’s a unique occasion," he said.
"The fact is, everything around both camps for these couple of games has to be geared towards the seniors. The pleasing thing is that Raheem had 90 minutes for us against San Marino.
"He knows now how we want to work because of that. And provided that link between Roy and me is there then it is a positive for us."
