Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is happy to see the summer market close with midfielders Julio Arca and Fabio Rochemback still on Teesside.
"I feel that I didn't get the best out of him last season, and that's down to me.
"But he came back into the team against Newcastle and showed exactly what he is capable of producing.
"As far as Arca is concerned he is aware of Sunderland's interest. But he knows that he is a vital part of our squad here.
"In any case, he's done so well that you'd need about five times £2m to try to get him now.
"And Julio is a smashing character as well as being a talented player."
