England U21 coach Gareth Southgate hailed his strikers after they gave his side the edge in their European Championship play-off against Croatia.
England came from behind in the first leg of the qualifier at Molineux with in-form West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino netting a decisive penalty five minutes from time.
Tottenham forward Harry Kane had levelled the tie just before the hour after Marko Livaja had headed Croatia in front from a corner after 13 minutes.
Their goals mean England will now carry a slender lead into the second leg in Vinkovci next Tuesday, when a place in next summer's finals will be at stake.
Southgate said: "It is a really good moment for both of them. When you select the team you look at players in form and who can exploit that moment.
"Both of them are a real threat. They get chances and you expect them to finish. That is the level we are at.
"I strongly believe we can go to Croatia and score but we have got to manage the game in every aspect when we are there."
