Southend chief executive Tara Brady has quit his position at the League Two club after just over 12 months at the League Two club. Brady was reported to have lost some of his interest in football and has now taken on another job outside of the sport.
Chairman Ron Martin, however, has wasted little time identifying a replacement.
"We'll be making an announcement on that in a day or two." "I had already had discussions with somebody, actually before Tara started, and he couldn't take the mantle at that time, but he's now prepared to," Martin told BBC Essex.
