Southend United boss Paul Sturrock is pleased with the progress of Bolton Wanderers striker Jack Sampson.

Southend have extended the loan of Sampson for another month.

"We've agreed for Jack to stay another month," Sturrock told BBC Essex.

"He gives us a different option up front but there's still a lot of work to be done (with him)."
