Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse has welcomed comparisons with Manchester United legend David Beckham.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce recently compared the 19-year-old to Beckham and Ward-Prowse could not have been more proud.
"I saw that and it is nice to be compared to someone like that," said Ward-Prowse who has yet to meet his idol, but would welcome the chance.
"He is a boyhood hero of mine. He is someone I have modelled my attributes on - especially his free-kick taking and his set-piece delivery. I often stop after training with Rickie Lambert and practise."
