Southampton goalkeeper Jack Rose is close to signing a new two-year deal.
According to Press Association Sport, the 23-year-old, who was out of contract at St Mary's, has agreed fresh terms.
The news comes just 24 hours after Alex McCarthy penned a four-year contract with the south coast club, having become their first-choice goalkeeper last season.
Rose has yet to make a senior appearance for Southampton and could go out on loan next season.
The deal casts further doubt over the future of Fraser Forster, who was displaced by McCarthy last season.
