Southampton have won their battle of wills with the agents of Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Sun says the Celtic midfielder's £12.5million switch looked dead after his agent Rob Moore asked for a £1m golden handshake.
But Saints chairman Nicola Cortese refused to cough up and Moore backed down when a switch to Cardiff also fell through.
Kenyan Wanyama, 22, will be boss Mauricio Pochettino's second summer signing after Croat defender Dejan Lovren's £8.5m move from Lyon.
