Southampton want £30 million for Luke Shaw. The Daily Star says Chelsea have already had a deal worth £21m turned down for Saints' exciting young left-back.
But the crisis-hit Premier League outfit have made it clear they want a world record fee for a full-back, who is seen as the eventual long-term England successor to Chelsea star Ashley Cole.
The current record of £29.5m was paid by Barcelona for Dani Alves in 2008.
Manchester City and Manchester United both want the 18-year-old as well.
Chelsea believe they have the edge though as Shaw is a Blues fan.
