Sam McQueen is happy with his transformation as a wing-back for Southampton.

The 21-year-old striker is now being used by the academy as a full-back after appearing in that role in all of Saints' first team pre-season matches.

“I'm enjoying it a lot," he told the Daily Echo. “It's all new to me, so I'm saying to everyone that I want to learn and I have been asking Bertie (Ryan Bertrand) back at training for little tips, working out the details and watching players in that position to see what they do.

“I'm enjoying it and it feels natural."
