Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez has suffered a setback in his recovery from knee surgery.
The Daily Star says Rodriguez is desperate to get back playing after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in April.
But specialists have told him he is pushing himself too hard in his attempts to regain full fitness.
Rodriguez, 25, has been forced to put his feet up for the last 10 days after needing fluid drained from his right knee.
The ex-Burnley man has been assured that the small operation WON'T extend his spell on the sidelines.
