Southampton striker Ricki Lambert is urging the board to stick with Nigel Adkins.

Lambo, who has netted four times in this campaign, is determined to take some of the heat off his gaffer.

He said: "I definitely want the manager to stay - he looks at me to try and lead the team as well and help him.

"My relationship with him is very good and I understand he's under pressure and it's not nice - it's not his fault it's all of our fault."
