Southampton striker Ricki Lambert is disappointed to have been overlooked for England's friendly against Brazil.
Lambert, 31 next week, claimed his 11th Premier League goal of the season in a 2-2 draw at Wigan, making him the highest scoring Englishman in the top-flight alongside Theo Walcott.
Asked if he was disappointed not to be in Roy Hodgson's squad, he said: "I was actually but I was hoping. I don't think my age is a hindrance. Hopefully, I can show between now and the end of the season that I'm good enough."
