Southampton striker Ricki Lambert is excited facing hometown club Liverpool.

Lambert has longed for this day after playing most of his career in the lower divisions.

Six-goal Lambert, 30, said: "I don't want to come away disappointed.

"I am really looking forward to it but we want to get something there.

"If I was a bit younger I might have got carried away but I'll try my best to be professional and help my team get the three points."
