Southampton skipper Adam Lallana had a pop at Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers' tactics for victory on Saturday. Rodgers selection for his back raised eyebrows, including inside the away dressing room.

"It (the four central defenders) raised a couple of eyebrows," said Lallana, for whom victory tasted a little sweeter given he was a boyhood Everton fan.

"They like to play out from the back and we just played a high-pressing game. We made them play long."
