Southampton signing Osvaldo insists "I'm not a bad person"

Southampton signing Pablo Daniel Osvaldo insists he's no bad boy.

Osvaldo, who wants to be known by his middle name, was unveiled to the media at St Mary's yesterday after completing a £13m move from Roma.

The Italy striker, 27, has a controversial track record after being banned by Roma in 2011 for PUNCHING teammate Erik Lamela for not passing to him.

But Osvaldo, sent off six times in the last three years, said: "I am no angel but I am not a bad person either.

"There were things that happened in the dressing room that should not have come out. They should have been resolved in the dressing room.

"All of the problems coming out Roma were being blamed on me and that was completely unfair. That is why I am very happy I have made the change to Southampton.

"I have spoken to Mario Balotelli but not about the move. He did not have the best of times in the Premier League so I did not want to hear anything negative about England."
