Southampton signing Eljero Elia insists he's not trouble.
The loan arrival from Werder Bremen joins Saints with a dicey reputation, but he says this has been "fabricated".
One incident involving Stoke City striker Marko Arnautovic still rankles the Dutchman.
He told Voetbal International: "Marko was arrested by the police because he was driving too fast, I do not. My car drove twenty miles behind that of Marko and my brother was driving while I was sleeping.
"So I was never stopped by the police, but in one way or another, there is a story fabricated that Marko and I were on a joyride."
Elia is grateful to Saints boss Ronald Koeman for this chance.
"I will do everything not to disappoint him."
