Southampton's Forster cheerful after landing Chelsea point

Fraser Forster feels Southampton played well to earn a draw at Chelsea but suggests they could have come away with even more.

The Saints held the Premier League leaders to a 1-1 result at Stamford Bridge courtesy of a 19th-minute penalty from Dusan Tadic which came eight minutes after Diego Costa's headed opener.

The south coast outfit were impressive in west London and according to Forster, who was at the top of his game with a number of top-class saves, could had nicked a win against Jose Mourinho's title favourites.

"They really came at us in the second half," he told Sky Sports.

"We played well in the first-half and were unfortunate to only have a penalty.

"We knew we were going to have defend and absolutely delighted to get a point.

"It's a great point and sets us up for the last nine games of the season."

The draw saw Ronald Koeman's Saints remain sixth on the league table, six points out of the top four.
