Southampton's Adkins plays down talk of Blackburn's Robinson

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins says he is not after Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Despite having three senior glovemen on his books, Adkins is being linked with a winter move for the Rovers skipper but insists he has enough bodies on his playing roster at present with Kelvin Davis, Paulo Gazzaniga and Artur Boruc all jockeying for the number one position.

"There is speculation about everybody, I don't know where it comes from half the time," he said of the Robinson speculation.

"We've got three goalkeepers vying for the positions. I have high hopes for Paulo and two experienced goalkeepers.

"On the training ground they are working really hard and Kelvin has got the shirt at the moment."
