Southampton have joined Tottenham in their interest for St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Daily Star says both clubs are thought to have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old play in his side's 2-1 defeat by Toulouse on Saturday.

The Gabon international scored 16 goals in Ligue 1 last season, having began his career with AC Milan before moving to France.
