Southampton are tracking AS Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo according to the Daily Star.
The 27-year old Argentine emerged on the radar of the Saints recently but Roma turned down an initial bid, however, it is reported that the St Mary's club may return with an offer of around £8million.
Osvaldo, who has spent time with Fiorentina and Bologna in the past, played under Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino during a spell with Espanyol in 2010/11.
