ChampionshipSouthampton came from behind to beat Hull 2-1 and extend their winning home run in the league to 19 matches. Saints boss Nigel Adkins hailed his side's spirit, saying: "We have a great team spirit. We created a lot of chances in the first half, but just could not score.
"It's a great win for us. It was a tough game, but I'm pleased to come back with a win after the loss at the weekend.
"We knew it was going to be a big challenge for us because Hull are a good side. I'm taking the positives out of the game which was the win.
"We came out in the second half and scored two good goals. It's a great three points and we have a lot of momentum at home."
