Southampton have banked a stunning £80 million from this season's exploits.

The Daily Echo says the club have raked in the astonishing figure as a result of finishing seventh, and that is even before you take commercial elements and ticket sales into account.

Saints will be handed £79.55m from the Premier League for their efforts in 2014/15.

That includes a £52.2m equal share payment made to every Premier League club, and a £17.3m merit payment which is based on their finishing position.
