Southampton are moving for Newcastle United midfielder Danny Guthrie.

The Sun says Guthrie is to be offered the chance to revive his career at Southampton after being booted out by Newcastle.

The midfielder, 25, hit seven goals in 92 games for the Magpies in a four-year spell.

Now Saints boss Nigel Adkins wants to nick Guthrie on a free transfer.
