Southampton are locked in advanced talks with Lazio for midfielder Alvaro Gonzalez.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman is eager to bring the Uruguay international to the south coast in the coming days.
Indeed, Gazzetta dello Sport says Saints directors are pressuring Lazio president Claudio Lotito to settle on a price for Gonzalez before the weekend.
Gonzalez is tied to Lazio until 2017.
The midfielder, 29, has been playing for the Rome club since 2010.
