Kelvin Davis insists Southampton players will respect Morgan Schneiderlin's decision to join Manchester United.
After having spent over seven years at Southampton, Schneiderlin is eyeing a move away from the club this summer and a transfer to United seems to be on the cards for the Frenchman.
The Saints obviously want to keep hold of their star man but goalkeeper Davis believes that even if Schneiderlin does force a move to United, the 25-year old will be respected by the players for all he has done for the club.
Davis told the Daily Echo: "He's his own man, he's been here some time as well, and he's done a lot for the club, so whatever decision he makes will be his decision.
"When all's said and done, if he's here that's fantastic. If he's not, then we wish him well and hope that it's the best situation for the club."
