Southampton are planning a move for Hull City boss Steve Bruce.
The Mirror says Bruce is Southampton's new first choice to become their manager after talks with Ronald Koeman stalled.
Koeman was the Saints' No 1 target to succeed Mauricio Pochettino, but it is understood negotiations with the Dutchman have hit an impasse.
Southampton were already considering Bruce and the Hull boss has now jumped to the top of their short-list of candidates.
