Southampton have passed on signing Benfica midfielder Filip Djuricic.

The midfielder spent the second-half of last season on-loan at St Mary's, but struggled to make an impression.

Record says Saints boss Ronald Koeman has decided against signing Djuricic permanently.

Interestingly, the option to buy Djuricic outright for Southampton was set at €9 million. However, today it's reported Benfica are willing to sell for €6 million.

Benfica management have made it clear to the Serb it's time for him to move on.
