Southampton owner Liebharr not planning to sell

Southampton will not look to sell any of their players this winter says owner Katharina Liebharr.

The likes of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Rickie Lambert are all being linked with potential January departures but Liebharr has made it clear that the Saints are intending to keep all of their stars this month.

"The club has no plans to sell any of the squad during the January transfer window," said Liebherr in a statement on Southampton's official website.

"The manager and the team have my full support."

Liebharr, who inherited the south coast club from her late father, has taken on the role of non-executive chairman following the recent resignation of Nicola Cortese.
