Southampton non-committal over Osvaldo’s proposed Juventus move

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is remaining calm on the future of fiery striker Dani Osvaldo.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is remaining calm on the future of fiery striker Dani Osvaldo.

The Italy international is being heavily linked with a loan move to Juventus after he was involved in a training ground spat with teammate Jose Fonte but Pochettino says no advances on any transfer news is available at this stage.

"At the moment there is no news regarding Dani Osvaldo," the Argentine said.

"But as I said before there is still a day and a half before the end of the transfer activity so there are many things that can happen in that time."

When quizzed further on Osvaldo’s potential shift to Turin, Pochettino added: "I don't know because I'm not in charge of that situation. Anything is possible."

Osvaldo, who joined the Saints from AS Roma for £15million in the summer, is also being linked with Valencia, Inter Milan and West Ham United.
