Southampton, Newcastle step in as Huddersfield talks stall for Limbombe

Huddersfield Town face missing out on Club Brugge ace Anthony Limbombe.

The Sun says Terriers boss David Wagner hoped to land the 24-year-old

Talks took place between the two clubs about a potential £11million transfer.

However Limbombe, who changed agents earlier this summer, failed to agree a deal with the west Yorkshire club.

Now Newcastle United and Southampton are set to rekindle their previous interest in the player.

Brugge coach Ivan Leko had already written Limbombe out of the club's plans for the new season - leaving his career in, limbo.
