Southampton are aiming to trump West Bromwich Albion for Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair.
The Express & Star says Southampton could sign Sinclair on a permanent £5m deal with Manchester City keen to sell the 24-year-old winger rather than allow him to join West Brom on loan.
Sinclair's kid brother Jake is on Saints' books.
