The Daily Mail says Southampton manager Alan Pardew is plotting an ambitious move for former Manchester City striker Benjani.

The 31-year-old is a free agent after being released by City at the end of last season.

Blackburn Rovers, Fulham and West Ham United have also been linked with the Zimbabwe international.
