Southampton star Oriol Romeu has urged Saints fans to view the 2016/17 Premier League season positively.
Southampton have managed a respectable 8th place finish in the Premier League but despite the decent campaign, which also included an appearance in the final of the League Cup, many believe that Claude Puel's men have underperformed this term.
Midfielder Oriol Romeu however, is pleased with how Southampton have performed during the current campaign and believes that the people associated with the South Coast club should view the season in a positive light.
Romeu said: "We have to be positive about the overall season because there have been some great moments. There are things to improve upon and get better though, of course.
"To finish eighth just behind top clubs, it's not an easy league and every game is very hard to get points. We need to be happy and to be positive. There are things to learn and things to improve upon and next year we want to make sure some things don't happen again."
