Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie admits he was rejected by Feyenoord over the summer.

Clasie is currently on-loan with Club Brugge, though revealed he had tried to return to Feyenoord before making the move to Belgium.

"I wanted to be loaned out to Feyenoord, I made the contact myself and was prepared to go," said Clasie.

"But Feyenoord did not want to."

Clasie, who left Feyenoord in 2015 for Saints, isn't ruling out a return in the future.

"Maybe next season," he added.
