Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg hailed teammate Mario Lemina for victory at Crystal Palace.

Lemina was outstanding for the 2-0 win.

Goalscorer Hojbjerg said, “Mario is a fantastic player, he has so many attributes to his game that make him a top player. I enjoy playing with a really, really good football player.

“Credit to Palace because it's a very tough place to come, they are good at creating momentum and physically putting the opponent under pressure.

“Of course, with a little bit of luck, we stood against them and got a clean sheet and a win. Winning is like medicine, it saves your life."
