Southampton midfielder Steven Davis is expecting a tough battle against Everton at the St Mary's Stadium this weekend.
Following their 2-2 draw against Newcastle United in the Premier League opener, Southampton will now prepare to welcome Everton to the south coast for their first home game of the season.
Everton were very poor during their 2-2 draw against Watford and many believe that Southampton are favourites to win the game at St. Mary's.
However, Davis is not underestimating Southampton and has stated that he is expecting a tough challenge from the Toffees this weekend.
Davis told the Daily Echo: "I think they've got a lot of good quality players and, although they drew [against Watford], I think they had a lot of possession in the game and created some chances from the highlights that I've seen, so we know they're going to be a threat, but of course we want to get three points and our first win in the league as soon as possible, and that gives us an opportunity to do that."
