Southampton will look to replace Virgil van Dijk with Leeds United star Pontus Jansson next summer, according to reports.
Van Dijk is attracting interest from a host of top Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window and Southampton will surely have a difficult time in replacing the Dutchman if he indeed leaves St. Mary's Stadium.
Nonetheless, Southampton already seem to have begun their search for a potential replacement for van Dijk and fresh reports have claimed that Saints boss Claude Puel is continuing to weigh up a move for Leeds centre-back Jansson.
The Swede, who joined the Whites on loan from Torino in 2014, was named in the Championship Team of the Year for his consistent performances for the West Yorkshire club during 2016/17.
