Southampton are believed to be showing significant interest in FC Porto's Giannelli Imbula.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Saints are eyeing the 23-year-old French midfielder as a possible replacement for Victor Wanyama.

Kenyan powerhouse Wanyama continues to be linked with Tottenham and Arsenal and is yet to sign a new contract at St Mary's, indicating that he could be off this winter or at the end of the season.

Imbula only joined Porto from Marseille in July and has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants.
