Southampton wants to replace Mauricio Pellegrino with sacked Watford boss Marco Silva.
The Saints are in the midst of a horrendous run of form, having won just once in their last 15 league matches.
Although Pellegrino has held onto his job, the sacking of Silva by Watford has made them re-think their strategy.
As well as Crystal Palace, Southampton tried to nab Silva in the summer before he decided on a move to Vicarage Road.
The Sun claims that the south coast club have reignited their interest in the Portuguese.
